afew addicted Tokyo
The first afew addicted meet up was held in Shibuya Tokyo, Japan last Saturday. We invited a group of afew addicted members residing all over Japan, from Miyazaki, Nagoya and prefectures around Tokyo.
The meet up was aired live on @afewstore Instagram account, where members of Japanese afew addicted group talked about the current sneaker scene in Tokyo. We concluded that the sneakers scene is not as grand as it used to be back in 2015-16 when the Asics Gel-Lyte III had its 25th Anniversary and Diadora had its peak. Having said that, the sneaker scene in Tokyo has been dying down slowly. Except for Nike, they are coming back stronger than ever, with more than 500 people lining up for most of Nike’s collaboration sneaker.
“What was everyone looking forward to from Afew?”
Another topic that was raised during the meet up was: “What is everyone looking forward to from Afew?”. Without hesitation, everyone said “Year Of The Orange Koi”. And you could see the excitement in their eyes as they talked about the previous and the upcoming collaborations.
Most importantly, the admin of afew addicted kept this surprise as a secret until the end and revealed the latest products that Afew will be releasing on “Japan Tag” of the Heimplanet collaboration. The products consisted of Heimplanet Motion Ellipse Pack, Heimplanet Motion Dopp Kit and the Mizu Bottle. The feedback on the products was very positive, hence engaging and creating excitement amongst the members. Nevertheless, the guys like to see more “Year Of The Orange Koi” products.
Overall, afew addicted Tokyo meet up was a massive success and we look forward to many more meetings on a regular basis in the near future. We are excited about what Afew will be releasing in the near future.
