ADIDAS ZX 8000 x LEGO

The ZX 8000 is part of the Adidas ZX series, which was first introduced in the 80s and was designed for runners. The running shoes quickly became one of the most popular on the market and continued to evolve visually and technically. The whole ZX series and with it especially the ZX 8000 became one of the most popular retro runners based in the sneaker and street style scene that is produced by Adidas.

With the ADIDAS ORIGINALS ZX 8000 LEGO, an absolute sneaker icon meets one of the most famous toy classics. The character and elements of the colorful LEGO bricks are reflected in the design and color.

The six models are each dressed in six different colors. The upper is made out of a mix of mesh, suede, and nylon and is colored and designed like a LEGO brick. The surface structure of the LEGO bricks can be found on the trademark of the ZX series, the reinforced heel cap, as well as on the lace reinforcement. A LEGO stone of the same color as the upper work as the lace tag. The tongue tag is embellished by the familiar red LEGO logo. The three Adidas stripes are also based on the lettering of the LEGO logo.

The innovative design focuses not only on style but also on comfort. The Torsion system, which was used for the first time in the ZX 8000, focused on optimal cushioning and additionally stabilizes the foot without restricting freedom of movement. Of course, the comfortable and lightweight EVA midsole cannot be missing and makes the design complete.

The collaboration with one of the largest toy manufacturers is a reminder of the power of creativity and is intended to bring fun back into everyday life.
