Even if the Air Jordan x Union LA 1 KO Low SP does not, as the name would suggest, carries the classic Jordan technology, the AJKO 1 Low is a real eye-catcher. The style takes you back to the 80s when washed-out jeans provided an off-court vibe. The design for the AJKO 1 Low x UNION comes from the men’s store UNION, which has opened its doors in Los Angeles. Their self-advertised concept: “We buy brands we would wear ourselves, and clothing that balances fashion and function.” Currently run by Chris Gibbs, he, along with his UNION and Jordan team gives the Air Jordan x Union LA 1 KO Low SP its unique design.

The base of the AJKO 1 Low x UNION is done in white with grey and yellow accents. Its white upper is made of canvas and is adorned with leather overlays. The materials, as well as the textures, are reminiscent of the popular off-court style. A real eye-catcher is the removable Swoosh under which a print with the Union logo is hidden. The Swoosh ensures that you can change the look at any time and super easy. Whether gray, blue, or still with print, here the style can vary. Next to it is a small yellow flag, which is also provided with the Union logo. The yellow is also picked up in the decorative stitching on the tongue and the overlay on the side. There’s no shortage of technology either. The EVA midsole with encapsulated AIR cushioning and a rubber outsole provides the usual comfort.
