With the New Balance U Rainier OG, a classic is ready for a return. While the sneaker from 1982 still climbed Mount Everest with mountaineer Lou Whittaker, it is now celebrating its revival. The mid-height classic in the “Glazed Ginger” colorway is a real head-turner.
The upper is made of a combination of leather and canvas and is rounded off with metal eyelets. Leather overlays shone in warm brown tones. The contrast is formed by the mesh parts of the uppers in blue, as well as the metal D-ring eyelets for the also brown flat laces. The tongue is also in the blue canvas. Additionally, the New Balance U Rainier OG is padded at the collar. The embossed New Balance logo on the side and the embroidered logo on the tongue complete the design.
The black Vibram sole provides the comfort known and loved by New Balance and gives the Rainier its rugged look. With its technology, the sole not only ensures that the sneaker is comfortable but also provides optimal grip and is slip-resistant and its flexibility makes it the perfect companion whether for everyday wear or outdoor adventures.
The Vintage Sneaker remains true to its original design but convinces with its modern and upgraded technology.
