Originally released at the start of the century, the year of 2001 marks the release of one of the most iconic – and non-OG – Air Jordan 11 colorways, the “Cool Grey”.
Worn by the one and only Michael Jordan, a living legend of this sport, during his fourth championship ring, the silhouette now celebrates its 20th anniversary. Let’s hope that Nike keeps on releasing more and more of these holiday drops during the festive seasons. Both collectors and casual consumers will always enjoy these early gifts.
This classic basketball silhouette was retro-ed in 2010. However, right at the forefront of basketball zeitgeist, this pair recreates its original shape, dressed in premium patent and nubuck leather on the upper, contrasting with its white midsole and icy blue / translucent outsole.
Subtle details are found on the heel: an embroidered Jumpman as well as the number “23”.
Yet again, this hardwood masterpiece was also designed by Tinker Hatfield. Some may even argue that the Air Jordan 11 is the best Jordan of all time.
The Nike Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey” will be available online at 9 am CET. Don’t sleep on it!
