The first collaboration between Montreal-based studio JJJJound and ASICS has succeeded with the two colorways on the GEL-Kayano 14. JJJound is known for its classic and elegant collaborations and the simple and subtle design has also been adopted on the two GEL-Kayano 14 colorways.

The retro silhouette features a 2000s-like aesthetic and combines performance with design. At the same time, the characteristic design elements have been only slightly modified. Performance has also been improved with updated materials, but the classic style remains.

Both reinterpretations have a base of white mesh. Building on that is metallic silver overlays, as well as embossed details. While one pair is in a light cream, the design elements of the other pair are in black. The ASICS X JJJJOUND GEL-KAYANO 14 “White/White” features white accents as well as a white midsole, as well as a cream outsole with ASICS classic GEL cushioning.

On the other hand, the ASICS X JJJJOUND GEL-KAYANO 14 “White/Black” features black details, as well as a rubber outsole. On the other hand, the midsole is in the sail colorway.

Another design element found on both colorways is the JJJJound branding on the right heel of the sneaker. The left heel is adorned with the Kayano branding. Co-branding is also found on the insole.
