Have you always wanted to walk on clouds? Yes?! On Shoes make it possible! At least as far as we can imagine. The walking experience in these shoes is exceptionally light. The sole offers you a cushioning of the shock and at the same time an explosive bounce. The combination of both gives you the feeling like running on clouds.
On-Technology – Noticeable and visible
The light running feeling with the On shoes is the result of hard work. The guys at On have spent countless days and nights designing the perfect cushioning system. As we know, they succeeded. They have always followed their concept of a sole with a cushioned landing and powerful kick. The result is the CloudTec technology. A cushioning system that consists of small “U’s”. The chambers also called “clouds”, which have the feature of moving horizontally during landing. This movement absorbs the shocks evenly and reduces stress in the joints. At the same time, the “Clouds” of the On shoes give an incomparable bounce, because they always return to the starting position.
Originally the On shoes were designed for running. But due to the wearing comfort and the extraordinary look, the sneakers also found their way into the lifestyle segment. On shoes offer you the perfect symbiosis of performance, comfort, style and technology, whether for sports or leisure.
Three friends – one goal
The former professional athlete Oliver Bernhard and his two friends David Allemann and Caspar Coppetti have founded On in 2010. The three enthusiastic runners had set themselves the goal of developing the perfect running shoe. The basic concept was always the same: a cushioned landing and a powerful kick. After many tests and numerous prototypes, the guys from Zurich found the perfect technology. The patented CloudTec cushioning fulfills exactly the requirements that were demanded. Thanks to the flexible “Clouds” and the powerful kick, the On shoes have shorter ground contact compared to other running shoes.
Word of the performance and comfort of On shoes spread quickly in the running scene so that the Swiss Olympic champion in triathlon Nicola Spirig became an On athlete. And even under the toughest competition conditions, the On shoes have proven themself. Belgian Frederik Van Lierde, for example, won the 2014 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, with the “Clouds” on his feet.
