Air Force 1 “Color of the Month” – with Armin

The Air Force 1 – a combination of past, present, and future.

First released in 1982, the Nike Air Force 1 is probably Nike’s most famous retro basketball sneaker. It is firmly established in the street style and hip-hop scene and is a staple within the community. However, Air Force 1 was on the verge of being retired in 1984. A Baltimore-based sports store recognized the sneaker’s potential and asked for personalized colorways. The “Color of the Month” series was born.

The current release of the AIR FORCE 1 LOW RETRO celebrates a part of Nike’s history. A combination of high-quality materials and the mix of white and brown leather make it a real eye-catcher. The upper is kept in white and is highlighted by the brown Swoosh and other details in the brown tone. In addition to the appearance, the AF1 is also convincing with its technology. He was the first shoe from Nike with a complete Air sole and is still an all-around talent that is perfect for everyday wear.

Its versatility and robustness perfectly fit Armin’s lifestyle. Armin was born and lives in Düsseldorf, Germany. He is the founder of the Dusseldorf-based Ippo Club and the boxing coach there. Armin wants to bring boxing out of the negative light and show that the sport is much more than the stereotype of what the public sees as the sport. With his club, he offers his community a place where boxing can be lived differently. Here everyone finds his place whether in the morning at 8 am before the office shift or still the last evening round at 8 pm. During the lunch break and every free second Armin works on the construction site, which becomes the permanent location for the boxing club. He is always on the go and with the constant hustle and bustle the robust and durable Air Force 1 “White Chocolate” is the perfect companion.
